These Terms govern your use of the DreamBound application. By using DreamBound, you agree to these Terms.
By downloading, installing, or using DreamBound, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Mahara Tech, operator of DreamBound.
You must be at least 18 years old to use DreamBound. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.
DreamBound is a goal achievement platform that helps users set, plan, track, and complete personal and professional goals through AI-generated roadmaps, progress tracking, gamification, and optional mentorship features.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
You may create an account using email and password or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated. Accounts are non-transferable. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account or by contacting dev@mahara.tech.
The Free plan includes access to core DreamBound features with the following limits:
Pro is a paid subscription available at $5.99/month or $39.99/year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Pro includes everything in the Free plan plus:
DreamBound Pro is designed for individual, personal use. While Pro includes unlimited AI roadmaps, goals, and help questions, all access is subject to this Reasonable Use and Fair Use Policy.
"Unlimited" means there is no hard quota imposed on your personal use of covered features. It does not mean unrestricted or automated use at any volume or frequency.
If we determine your usage exceeds what a reasonable individual user would generate, or violates this FUP, we may: (a) notify you and request that you reduce usage; (b) temporarily throttle access; or (c) in cases of serious or repeated abuse, suspend or terminate your account. We will always try to contact you first before taking action.
Free tier users may earn additional AI quota through in-app activities (watching ads, earning points). These bonus credits are also subject to reasonable personal use and cannot be accumulated or transferred to other accounts.
Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing and managed by RevenueCat. By subscribing, you agree to Google Play's payment terms. We do not have access to your payment card details.
New Pro subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. Your subscription will auto-renew at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the Google Play subscription management page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
Refund requests are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly. If you experience a billing issue, contact dev@mahara.tech and we will assist.
You retain ownership of all content you create in DreamBound — your goals, descriptions, notes, and uploaded images. By using DreamBound, you grant Mahara Tech a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models. AI prompts sent on your behalf do not include your personal identifiers.
You agree not to use DreamBound to:
DreamBound uses AI (currently powered by DeepSeek via Firebase Cloud Functions) to generate goal plans and coaching responses. AI-generated content is provided for personal planning purposes only.
We may change the underlying AI provider at any time. Prompts sent to AI providers are governed by this policy and our Privacy Policy — your personal identifiers are not included.
DreamBound includes optional peer mentorship features that allow users to offer and receive guidance. Mentors set their own terms and pricing. Mahara Tech facilitates the platform but is not a party to any mentorship arrangement.
Mentorship payments are processed in-app and records are retained for dispute resolution. Mahara Tech is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of mentorship sessions. Users engage in mentorship at their own risk.
Any disputes between mentors and mentees should first be resolved between the parties. If resolution is not possible, contact dev@mahara.tech for assistance.
All intellectual property in DreamBound — including the app design, code, branding, graphics, and text — is owned by Mahara Tech or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or proprietary materials without prior written permission.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of DreamBound without explicit written consent.
DreamBound is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mahara Tech disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Goal achievement depends on your own effort and circumstances — DreamBound is a tool, not a guarantee of results.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mahara Tech and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use DreamBound.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability — in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by applicable law.
You may stop using DreamBound and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if we are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Account data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including but not limited to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
We may update these Terms as DreamBound evolves. For significant changes, we will notify you via in-app notification and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using DreamBound and delete your account.
