Any salon owner who runs bookings through WhatsApp knows the scene: dozens of messages, "do you have Thursday?", two overlapping appointments, and a client who does not show up and does not cancel. A good salon booking system fixes all three at once, and you do not have to become a technical expert.
What online booking changes
- Clients book at any hour, even after the salon closes, so night-time bookings are no longer lost.
- They see only the open times, so clashes cannot happen.
- A reminder reaches them before the appointment, so no-shows fall.
- You see your whole day on one screen, instead of searching WhatsApp chats.
What a salon system must include
- Services and durations. A haircut takes an hour, a colour three. The system works out the time needed and blocks the whole slot.
- Staff. Each stylist has her own schedule and leave, and the client picks her favourite or "anyone available".
- Packages and offers. Seasonal offers, bridal packages and loyalty cards.
- Deposits or prepayment. Especially for large bookings, to cut late cancellations.
- Client history. What she had last visit, her preferences, and the date of her last visit.
- Reports. Most requested services, income per stylist, and clients who have been away for two months.
WhatsApp does not go away
Your clients love WhatsApp, and that is fine. It should stay an entry point to the booking, not be the whole system: a "book now" button on WhatsApp and Instagram opens the booking page, and the confirmation and reminder reach the client's phone. Read how to connect your system to WhatsApp.
Mobile first
Most bookings come from phones, so test your booking page on yours: does it load fast? Does it show Arabic correctly? Can it be finished in under a minute? If it needs more than three steps, some bookings will be lost.
What we build for you
We build your salon a booking page in your name and colours, in Arabic and English, with a client side and a salon side, reminders and owner reports. See a sample demo for salons and the salon and spa management system, which also works for other booking businesses such as wedding halls. You can also look at the booking platforms to see the components.
Send us your salon's name and services, and we prepare a sample demo in your name before any contract.
How to write your services so bookings work
Most booking problems start with vaguely written services. For each one write:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| A clear name | Full root colour |
| The real duration | Two and a half hours |
| Price or "from" | From OMR 15 |
| Who performs it | Anyone / a specific stylist |
| Requirements before | Patch test 48 hours ahead |
A long service booked as one hour makes the whole day late, so work out durations honestly and add clean-up time between clients.
Three messages that change attendance
- Instant confirmation: name, service, time, stylist, address and a map link.
- A reminder the day before, with a cancel or move button.
- A thank-you after the visit, with a Google Maps review link, because reviews bring new bookings: local SEO.
Peak seasons
Before holidays and weddings the days fill weeks ahead. Open booking early for the seasons, ask for a deposit on long services, and keep a waiting list for full slots that alerts when any appointment is cancelled.
Common questions
What does a small salon need to start online booking?
A booking page with services, prices and a WhatsApp button, then staff, reminders and reports. That is what the Presence and Business packages cover; see the prices.
Do deposits reduce no-shows?
A deposit on big bookings, such as bridal or long colour work, cuts late cancellations noticeably for many salons, but it is a commercial decision that suits some services and not others.
